A search can be hopeful and exhausting at the same time. The goal is not to add more process — it is to give you a calmer place to keep the thread, so the work you already did does not disappear into tabs and inbox search.

Why we built it
Built from a search that outgrew the spreadsheet
Kattia started with a gap many serious searches hit: spreadsheets track status, your inbox holds threads, and notes live somewhere else. None of them keep a protocol together — what stage each role is in, what you owe a reply, what you learned in the last interview.
The thesis was straightforward. Employers run pipelines to evaluate candidates. If your search is a pipeline of conversations and decisions, you deserve the same structure on your side: stages, next actions, follow-ups, and a timeline that remembers what already happened.
An earlier version proved the idea but not the product we wanted to ship. Kattia was rebuilt as a candidate-side career pipeline — not an ATS, not a recruiter CRM, not a generic workspace with job-search bolted on.
Kattia is named after Catherine, the founder's mother. The name is a reminder that a good search is supported the way people who care about you support you: with memory, persistence, and an eye on what comes next.
